Dolphin Fabric Art Quilt Wall Hanging or Pillow Cover~ Coastal Dolphin Tropical Beach Art Quilt Big Stitch Hand Quilted~ 18"

This tropical beach Art Quilt features a gorgeous dolphin jumping out of the water with a big splash. What makes it extra special is that it has an envelope back opening so you can use it as a pillow or as a wall hanging, 2-in-1! The dolphin artwork was created by Susan Lewis (Kukana Quilts) from Oahu and is based on a real dolphin I swam with in the ocean! I had the design printed onto organic cotton fabric. The primary colors are a turquoise green/blue, sky blue, gray and white. Award-winning quilter Charlotte Noll then used Big Stitch hand quilting accents throughout the design, using Sue Spargo Eleganza variegated quilting thread. Premium Quilter's Dream batting was used, and I used Island Batik Turquoise Rain Dots cotton fabric on the back and as the side binding. There are triangular pockets on the back for you to easily insert a dowel for hanging your Art Quilt. The finished wall hanging measures 17.5" x 18". You will need to provide the wood dowel for hanging this artwork, or a pillow insert. I also have this design as a cotton or velvet fabric panel in my store if you would like to make your own quilt, pillow or wall hanging.
