This gorgeous ocean sunrise fabric design pictures Black Sand Beach located in Wai'anapanapa State Park on Maui's Road to Hana. The beach is considered the best black sand beach on Maui. This design was hand painted by award-winning artist Diane Appler. She said the varying textures in the scene made this a delight to paint. I have printed it as organic cotton sateen fabric and made into quilt squares and panels.
